Take the first steps towards home ownership
Tarl has been leading his team within this industry since 2003 building experience helping people just like you move on to home ownership. Whether this is your first time buying a home or if you are looking to buy your next investment property, Tarl Anderson Properties recommends the following steps to streamline your experience.
Step 1
Get your Mortgage
Pre-Approval
In order to get you on the path to home ownership there are a few documents we need to get you started. The first thing we need is for you to obtain a mortgage pre-approval. This makes it easier to submit offers once you find a home, and it lets sellers know you are serious and qualified.

Check out our Lending page here for information about our preferred lenders. You may already have a bank in mind but our experience has proven that our business model and level of service fits nicely with our lending partners. You are under no obligation to use either of these lenders and we receive no compensation if you work with them or not, but we know through years of experience that they are at the top of the list to take care of your mortgage lending needs.
Step 2
Select an inspector and know what questions to ask
Just as not all agents provide a high level of service, the same is true for inspectors. It's important that you start shopping around for inspectors right away, and to simplify this process, we have provided a list of inspectors to get you started as well as preparing a summary of 20 Questions To Ask Your Inspector. Click either link below to open your list.
Step 3
Client Portal and Scheduling a Property Tour
If you have completed our "Get Started" form, you will be receiving a link to your Client Portal soon. In order to schedule your first property tour please contact our office or your agent as far in advance as possible to confirm availability. Once a time is confirmed, we will schedule a tour for all properties that are saved as a "Favorite" in your Client Portal. We recommend selecting between 5-10 houses per tour.
Step 4
Complete disclosures and representation agreement
We are required to have all of our clients complete and sign a few documents. These include a number of state required legal disclosures as well as others authorizing us to be able to represent you exclusively throughout the home buying process. We utilize an electronic signature platform that makes all documents easy to sign from any computer or smart phone with an internet connection. Once we have all disclosures and agreements signed, we are ready to tour homes and make some offers!
